If you have signed up to any of our services you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. 

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. 

This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

In order for you to use our services, or to participate in our research,  we will need to gather and store personal information from you.

Your rights and your personal data

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • The right to request a copy of the personal data which we hold about you;
  • The right to request that we correct any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date;
  • The right to request your personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary for me to retain such data;
  • The right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time;
  • The right to request that the data controller provide you with your personal data and where possible, to transmit that data directly to another data controller, (known as the right to data portability), (where applicable) [N.B. This only applies where the processing is based on consent or is necessary for the performance of a contract with you as the data subject and in either case the data controller processes the data by automated means].
  • The right, where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction is placed on further processing;
  • The right to object to the processing of personal data, (where applicable) [N.B. This only applies where processing is based on legitimate interests (or the performance of a task in the public interest/exercise of official authority); direct marketing and processing for the purposes of scientific/historical research and statistics]
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office. (See below).

Who we are and how we process your personal data

Globefox (the data controller) complies with obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by:

  • keeping your personal data up to date;
  • by storing (and destroying it if needs be) securely;
  • by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; 
  • by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and
  • by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.

We use your personal data for the following purposes

  • To deliver services;
  • To contact you as necessary in accordance with the services you request;
  • To maintain our own accounts and records.

In the event that your recorded data is utilised for service research purposes, our own supervision or for the instruction or tuition of staff, all such data will be sufficiently anonymised to the extent that you cannot be identified. Should you indicate that your data should not be used for these purposes, we will refrain from using that data.

Your data will never be passed to a third party without your express consent, provided that such confidentiality is neither inconsistent with our staff safety, your own safety, your family members or that of other members of the public, nor in contravention of any legal action or legal requirement.

We do make oberservations about how you use the service, so that we can monitor the service and make improvments, but won't identify you in these notes..

The information we help you gather about your health and well-being is not medical data, but will be kept confidential and private

Any data we share with third parties will be with your full informed consent. It will also be anonymised. If you have a particularily rare or unusual combination of health issues, it may still be possible for you to be identified from this data. Please proceed with this in mind.

To ensure that we can provide access to your data in case your need to file a complaint about our services, we keep your account data for a minimum of 7 years. This is a necessary step to ensure that we can meet our professional obligations and serve you to the best of our ability.

Our Lawful Basis for processing your personal data

Once you have completed the sign-up process you will have given us clear consent for us to process your personal data for the specific purposes given dureing that sign up. This processing is necessary for both your and our legitimate interests.

Security

We take great care with the information that you give us, and the security of this site, and any other data storage that we use. Our hosting is managed and monitored, however security breaches may occur that are beyond our control. Please bear this in mind when using the site.

You are responsible for managing your login details and passwords, and we will not be held responsible for unauthorised use or access.
